After 3 years of interior design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Vito Selma integrates the school of his dreams: The Polytechnic School of Design in Milan, Italy, where he obtained his Masters of Industrial Design.
He was only 23 years old when he presented his pieces for the first time on the market of Manila. His material of choice is wood and he uses it to combine simplicity with creativity resulting in the most beautiful forms that are both functional and artistic at the same time. About his pieces, Vito says that they call to mind the archetypal nudes who stand before the artist and audience, showing each curve and crest of their composites. His work is unabashed and unafraid to display the nakedness of wood grain and texture.
"My Design House is a forest. It showcases the roots from where these products come and the furniture that grows from them. After all, what is furniture show? But a forest of manufacturers, a forest of ideas, of stories and a forest of design."
